oreo truffles

ta-da! recipe here.

My first time making truffles turned out pretty good. Of course, I chose a simple recipe that you can't really F up too badly. The problem is: I don't own a double boiler or a candy thermometer. I couldn't get the right consistency when melting the chocolate for dipping. I had to mold the chocolate over the oreo cream by hand making the shell thicker. These still tasted amazing with only three ingredients. I left out the rum. But then again, the oreos themselves probably contain 50 ingredients. Recipes with the least amount of ingredients are the best!

I found this blackberry jasmine green tea at target. Each tea bag makes a whole pitcher of iced tea. I'm enjoying this right now as I'm blogging. good stuff!

Ice Pan

"You happy, I'm happy!"

I absolutely adore ice pan. It's customizeable ice cream made right in front of you. You choose your flavor, the type of milk(whole, non-fat, soy) and the toppings. Then you watch these few simple ingredients turn from liquid to solid. you can have the toppings mixed in or just topped. It's so fresh. My mom loved it because it's not freezer cold. It's just cold enough. I tried the green tea with soy milk and strawberries. It tasted just lovely.

*update* yay! I got the video up! this is my video

The cute name and look had me fantasizing long before I took a bite, so I naturally had high expectations. I was disappointed. =(

After lunch and shopping, I had to stop by Paulette.

A start of something delicious

I've eaten my fair share of bad food to finally know how to wisely order at a restaurant. Although, I'm a sucker for trying new things especially if it has a very funny name. The weirder, the better! I'm not very articulate with words, but I'll try. So stay tuned for some fun food adventures with yours truly.
